LONG ISLAND MOM HAS TUMMY TUCK WITH MOMMY MAKEOVER AT ROMANELLI COSMETIC SURGERY
This woman, in her mid 40's came to us to discuss a few different issues. After two pregnancies, she was looking to get some fullness back in her breasts and take care of some problem areas in her inner and outer thighs. She also had excess skin in the abdominal area that made her uncomfortable. She was basically looking, like all of us, to more resemble her pre-pregnancy self! Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for what we call the "Mommy Makeover". She would benefit from a straight breast augmentation (no lifting necessary!) and some liposuction to her thighs. However, Dr. Romanelli didn’t feel that she would be happy with liposuction in the abdominal area. She would be left with possibly more hanging skin and wouldn’t achieve that ‘flat’ appearance that she was going for. Rather, she would get the results she desired from an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). These three procedures combined are the essence of the mommy makeover, addressing all of the areas that age and pregnancy have altered. Dr. Romanelli performed the procedures in our ambulatory surgical center. Surgery was less than four hours and by early afternoon, she was resting in our fully equipped overnight suite, a private nurse by her side. The patient was thrilled with her beautiful results and we are all so happy to be a part of her wonderful journey!
