LONG ISLAND WOMAN HAS TUMMY TUCK AFTER 125 POUND WEIGHT LOSS
This patient in her mid 30's came to us after a significant weight loss left her with excess skin in the abdominal area. The patient had done the very hard work of losing 125 lbs with diet and exercise. She was anxious to see Dr. Romanelli and get his opinion on her surgical options. Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). This would remove all the excess skin that had accumulated, flattening out her belly and tightening up her waistline. The patient was confident with his game-plan and surgery was booked that same day! This surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in approx. three hours, with a private nurse by her side. She stayed overnight, and went home the next day to continue her recovery. The patient’s result speaks for itself! She is exactly as she envisioned herself when she started on her weight loss journey. As always, we are thrilled to be a part of her success story.
