LONG ISLAND WOMAN HAS TUMMY TUCK AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY WITH DR. ROMANELLI

This patient came into see Dr. Romanelli in our office in Huntington, NY. She had lost over 100 pounds and wanted to to address the excess skin that remained on her abdomen and breasts. Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for an extended abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). The extended tummy tuck would remove the excess skin from the abdominal area and the hips, or ‘love handles’. With a massive weight loss such as this case, an extended version of a standard tummy tuck is normally required to give the patient the flatter, smoother shape that is desired. This surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in approx. three hours, with a private nurse by her side. She stayed overnight, and went home the next day to continue her recovery.  After ten days of rest and recovery, the patient was able to return to her lifestyle activities. She is thrilled with her beautiful results and we are all so happy to be a part of her wonderful journey!
