This patient in his early 50's came to our office after a gastric bypass procedure. He had lost over 100 pounds, and wanted to see Dr. Romanelli to address the excess skin that remained on his abdomen. Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found him to be an excellent candidate for an extended abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). The extended tummy tuck would remove the excess skin from the abdominal area and the hips. With a massive weight loss such as this case, an extended version of a standard tummy tuck is normally required to give the patient the flatter, smoother shape that is desired.
