Dr. Amanda Walsh is a plastic surgeon with a refined, patient-first approach to aesthetic medicine. Known for her precision, empathy, and modern sensibility, she joins North Shore Cosmetic Surgery as the newest member of a team built on surgical excellence and deep-rooted trust.

Background and Experience

A Long Island native, Dr. Walsh returns home after completing her plastic surgery residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, one of the most prestigious and competitive programs in the world, recognized globally for its innovation in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. She earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she was elected to AOA, the medical school honor society, and her undergraduate degree, with highest honors, from Tufts University.

Philosophy

Dr. Walsh believes the best plastic surgery enhances identity, not replaces it. Her signature philosophy is rooted in refinement over reinvention, combining meticulous technique with a nuanced understanding of her patients’ goals. “I want my patients to look and feel like the best version of themselves,” she says. “Surgery should restore, not erase, who you are.”

Huntington Hospital

Huntington Hospital is the primary hospital for Dr. Romanelli Dr. Layliev, and Dr. Low. As an award-winning hospital, it is the perfect place for our North Shore® cosmetic surgery patients to receive the highest level of hospital care. We routinely care for our breast reduction and breast reconstruction patients at the hospital, which supports all levels of breast surgery including microsurgical breast reconstruction. It also serves as a clinical campus for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Syosset Hospital

Long Island plastic surgeons Dr. Romanelli, Dr. Layliev and Dr. Low of North Shore® Cosmetic Surgery are pleased to hold medical privileges at Syosset Hospital. The medical facility features 136 beds, an emergency room, a trauma care unit, an on-site radiology department, and psychiatric wing. It is also the home to the Center of Excellence for both bariatric surgery and orthopedics. With hundreds of highly trained staff members, the hospital is able to provide exceptional medical care to the entire Syosset community.

Glen Cove Hospital

Glen Cove Hospital of Northwell Health facilitates surgeries for our plastic surgeons at North Shore® Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Romanelli, Dr. Layliev and Dr. Low are authorized to perform plastic surgery as an in or outpatient treatment.
