What Is NanoLaserPeel®?

The lightest setting on our resurfacing laser — a quick polish, not a deep correction.

NanoLaserPeel® is the gentlest treatment in our laser resurfacing family. It uses the same erbium technology as our deeper resurfacing options, but set to a very shallow depth that removes only the outermost, dullest layer of skin.

That shallow depth is the whole point. It's why NanoLaserPeel® is often called the 'lunchtime peel' — the treatment itself takes 15 to 30 minutes, and most patients are comfortable returning to normal activity within a few hours. It won't erase deep wrinkles or acne scarring — for that, MicroLaserPeel® or ProFractional® are better tools — but for dullness, rough texture, enlarged pores and fine lines, it delivers a real, visible brightening with almost nothing asked of your schedule in return.

What to Expect During a NanoLaserPeel® Treatment

NanoLaserPeel® is performed at our Melville office by one of our physician assistants.

Topical numbing cream is optional for this treatment — many patients skip it entirely. Your provider passes the handpiece over the treatment area, and you'll feel brief warmth as the laser removes the outermost layer of skin. Sciton® cites 15 to 30 minutes of treatment time; including check-in, plan on roughly 30 to 45 minutes in the office.

What Is Recovery Like After NanoLaserPeel®?

Recovery is short and predictable. Immediately after treatment, skin feels tight with mild redness and swelling, similar to a sunburn — this typically settles within about 8 hours.

Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer until the skin has naturally exfoliated, avoid direct sun, and wear sunscreen as directed. Total recovery is typically two to four days, with noticeable brightening within three to five.

NanoLaserPeel® can be performed as a short series spaced two to six weeks apart for initial correction, then maintained quarterly.

Who Is a Good Candidate for NanoLaserPeel®?

NanoLaserPeel® is a great fit if your main concern is dullness, rough texture, enlarged pores or fine lines, and you want visible improvement without meaningful time off.
