Which Laser Is Right for Me?

Ten treatments, one goal: matching the right technology to what you actually want to change.

Between BBL® HEROic™, MOXI®, HALO® TRIBRID™ and four depths of laser resurfacing, it’s easy to end up with more options than answers. This guide won’t replace a consultation — your provider still needs to see your skin — but it will get you most of the way there.

There are two ways to use it. Start with what’s bothering you, and jump straight to the treatment built for that concern. Or start with how much downtime you can realistically give it, and work from there. Either path lands you in roughly the right place, and the comparison table below lets you sanity-check the details before you call.

Start With What’s Bothering You

Sun spots, freckles or redness on the face

$Forever Young BBL®

Sun damage on the chest, arms, back or hands

$Forever Body BBL®

Loose or crepey skin on the face, neck, abdomen or arms

$SkinTyte®

Active acne or breakouts

$Forever Clear BBL®

Melasma, early signs of aging, or a gentle option you can use year-round

$MOXI®

Texture, tone and collagen stimulation, all addressed in one session

$HALO® TRIBRID™

Dull skin or a quick refresh, and only a weekend to give it

$NanoLaserPeel®

Rough texture, enlarged pores or uneven tone, with a few extra days to spare

$MicroLaserPeel®

Acne scars, surgical scars, or deep static wrinkles

$ProFractional®

Significant sun damage, deep scarring, or stubborn lip lines, and you want the most dramatic result available in one session

$Contour TRL™

Or Start With How Much Time You Can Give It

No downtime at all: Forever Young BBL®, Forever Body BBL®, Forever Clear BBL®, and SkinTyte® all let you return to normal activity the same day.

Minimal Downtime (2-5 days): MOXI® and NanoLaserPeel® both fall in this range. NanoLaserPeel® is the lightest of our laser resurfacing options, often called the weekend peel.

Moderate Downtime (5-10 days): MicroLaserPeel®, ProFractional®, and HALO® TRIBRID™ all fall in this range, though the exact length depends on the depth your provider chooses.

Two weeks or more: Contour TRL™ is our deepest option and asks for the most significant recovery in exchange for the most dramatic single-session result.

Questions Patients Actually Ask

What’s the difference between HALO® TRIBRID™ and MOXI®?

MOXI® is our gentlest laser, designed to be repeated often with minimal downtime. It’s built for prevention, maintenance and mild correction, especially for Melasma. HALO® TRIBRID™ goes deeper, addressing texture, tone and collagen support together in a single, more intensive session. If you’re not sure which fits your goals, your provider can help you decide at your consultation.

Should I do BBL® HEROic™ or HALO® TRIBRID™?

It depends on what’s driving your concern. If color — sun spots, redness, uneven tone — is the main issue, BBL® HEROic™ (specifically Forever Young BBL®) is usually the better starting point. If texture and firmness are just as much a factor as color, HALO® TRIBRID™ addresses more of the picture in one visit.

Is a laser better for melasma or for sun spots?

These respond differently. Sun spots respond well to BBL® HEROic™’s targeted light energy. Melasma is more easily aggravated by heat, so we typically recommend MOXI®, since its lower, more controlled energy is less likely to trigger a flare.

Which laser is best for acne scars?

ProFractional® is our primary tool for established acne scarring. For active breakouts before scarring sets in, Forever Clear BBL® is the better starting point. Many patients use both, in sequence. For milder or shallower scarring, HALO® TRIBRID™ is another option, since it treats surface texture and deeper collagen in one session.

Do I have to pick just one treatment?

No. Many of our most popular treatment plans combine two or more of these in the same visit. For example, BBL® HEROic™ can be combined with MOXI®, ProFractional® with BBL® HEROic™, or SkinTyte® alongside Forever Body BBL®. Your provider will build a plan around your specific goals rather than asking you to choose from a menu alone.

I’m still not sure. What happens at a consultation?

Your provider examines your skin, asks about your goals and your schedule, and recommends a specific treatment or combination — not just a category. This guide is a starting point for that conversation, not a substitute for it.
