What Is MicroLaserPeel®?
A deeper polish than NanoLaserPeel®, tuned for real texture and tone correction.
MicroLaserPeel® sits in the middle of our resurfacing family — deeper than NanoLaserPeel®'s quick brightening, but with less downtime than ProFractional® or Contour TRL™. It uses the same erbium laser technology, set to remove more of the outer skin layer, which is what allows it to address rough texture, enlarged pores, uneven tone and pigment irregularities rather than just surface dullness.
Because the depth is adjustable within the treatment itself, your provider can tailor MicroLaserPeel® toward a lighter, faster-healing session or a deeper one that approaches ProFractional® territory, depending on what your skin needs and how much downtime you're willing to take.

What to Expect During a MicroLaserPeel® Treatment
MicroLaserPeel® is performed at our Melville office by one of our physician assistants.
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. Your provider then delivers laser energy across the treatment area, which most patients describe as warmth rather than pain. Sciton® cites 30 to 60 minutes of treatment time depending on the area and depth chosen; including numbing, plan on roughly 60 to 90 minutes in the office.
What Is Recovery Like After MicroLaserPeel®?
Recovery scales with how deep your provider sets the treatment, so be candid about your schedule at your consultation.
Expect mild redness and swelling similar to a sunburn for up to about 8 hours immediately after treatment. Beyond that, visible downtime — redness, peeling, sensitivity — typically runs 5 to 10 days depending on depth. Lighter settings resolve at the faster end of that range; deeper settings take longer.
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer until the skin naturally exfoliates, and avoid direct sun exposure. Sciton® reports continued improvement in tone and texture for up to six months, and MicroLaserPeel® can be repeated quarterly depending on your skin's needs.
