Forever Clear BBL® treats active acne using the same BBL® HEROic™ platform behind our other light therapies, but with a protocol built specifically around the biology of a breakout.
Each session delivers three passes of light across the treatment area. Blue light targets the bacteria that live deep in pores and drive new breakouts. Yellow light calms the inflammation and redness that acne leaves behind, and helps prevent the next flare-up before it starts. A final pass of gentle, rapid infrared pulses supports the skin's natural healing response, softening the look of existing acne scars and reinforcing the first two passes.

What to Expect During a Forever Clear BBL® Treatment
Forever Clear BBL® is performed at our Melville office by one of our physician assistants.
No anesthetic is needed for this treatment. Your provider glides the BBL® HEROic™ handpiece across the treatment area for three total passes — blue light, then yellow, then infrared — while a chilled sapphire tip keeps the skin comfortable throughout. Most patients feel minimal to no discomfort. Sciton® cites 10 to 15 minutes of treatment time; including check-in, plan on about 30 minutes in the office.
Afterward, your skin will likely feel warm for 30 to 60 minutes, similar to the sensation after our other BBL® HEROic™ treatments.
What Is Recovery Like After Forever Clear BBL®?
There is no downtime after Forever Clear BBL®. You can return to work, school, or your normal routine the same day, and makeup can be applied right away.
Some patients notice mild, short-lived redness immediately after treatment, similar to a light flush, which typically settles within a few hours. Sciton® cites noticeable results within 5 to 7 days, with continued improvement as you complete your series.
