Dr. James Romanelli is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founding surgeon of North Shore Cosmetic Surgery. He leads by blending his advanced surgical expertise with his approachable and patient-first philosophy. For more than 30 years, he’s helped individuals look and feel their best by intently listening and carefully crafting based on a patient's goals.

Education & Training
Dr. Romanelli is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he received his undergraduate degree. He continued his education and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He then completed his residency in general surgery at Staten Island University. Continuing his education, Dr. Romanelli gained specialty training in Houston, TX, first at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the world-famous Baylor College of Medicine. Here, he trained alongside the inventors of the silicone gel breast implant.
