NY Male: Gynecomastia Reduction Surgery To Improve Appearance Of Chest

This patient, in his early 20’s came to see Dr. Romanelli for a gynecomastia reduction.  He presented with desire to have an more athletic appearance of the chest. Unhappy with “breasts” that were resistant to diet and exercise. Examination demonstrated that there was a great excess of breast tissue and we recommended that we perform both liposuction and a surgical excision of this excess tissue. Surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in approx. 2 hours(with a private nurse by his side).  Wore compression shirts to flatten the chest contour for 10 days. Photos below are two months after gynecomastia reduction surgery. His postoperative photographs show a great improvement. He is now comfortable taking his shirt off at the beach. It is very rewarding to help young man become comfortable with their appearance.
