Long Island Woman Has Tummy Tuck at North Shore Cosmetic Surgery

This mother of two, in her mid 40’s is an active woman who owns and operates her own company.   She came to our  office to discuss flattening out her stomach. Unfamiliar with cosmetic surgery, she wasn’t sure if she would be a candidate for liposuction or a tummy tuck.  She knew how she wanted to look but didn’t know what it would take to get her there! Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for both procedures. He would address the excess skin and fat in her abdomen with a tummy tuck and (after some show and tell in the exam room about what really bothered her) also thought she would benefit from liposuction to her outer thighs. She was informed, however, that to get rid of the extra skin and weak abdominal wall she would have to give up the small tattoo as well! This surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in approx. 4 hours, with a private nurse by her side. She stayed overnight, and went home the next day to continue her recovery.  She came in for her first post-operative appointment 5 days later, already looking fantastic. Her final results were beyond her expectations!
