Correction of Severe Gynecomastia

Patient presented for evaluation for breast reduction. He was unhappy with the appearance of his chest and was not comfortable taking his shirt off at the beach. On evaluation, Dr. Romanelli found that the patient had lots of extra skin with asymmetrical large breasts. To give the best contour his surgery involved removing excess skin and breast tissue, as well as moving the nipple and areola, re-applying them as “free nipple” skin grafts. The after pictures are three months after male breast reduction.The patient wore compression shirts to flatten the chest contour for 10 days. He had a quick recovery, and has returned to all of his lifestyle activities. PROCEDURE NOTES:Excision of Skin and breast tissue, with nipple areola skin grafting was used to improve to contours of the chest.
