This Long Island mother in her late 20s had considered breast reduction for years, and approximately a year after having her first child she sought consultation with Dr. Walsh. The size and weight of her breasts left her with persistent neck and back pain, bra strap grooving, and skin irritation, and made exercise feel out of reach. Together they planned an approach that would aim to preserve nipple sensibility and the potential to possibly breastfeed future children. An anchor pattern incision breast reduction was performed with an inferior pedicle, and liposuction was utilized to help refine the contour. Surgery took place in our ambulatory surgical suite in Melville, where more than four pounds of tissue were removed from each breast. These photographs were taken five months after her surgery. The patient is thrilled with her outcome, and so are we.
