Breast Reconstruction At North Shore Cosmetic Surgery In Melville, New York

This patient in her early 50’s year came to Dr. Romanelli to discuss breast reconstruction. The patient was referred by her breast surgeon. She was to undergo a bilateral, nipple sparing mastectomy and wanted to know her options for reconstruction. Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli recommended a ‘direct to implant’ reconstruction. He would follow the breast surgeon and on the same day, immediately following the mastectomy, place silicone gel implants with some additional fat grafting to add a soft, natural look and feel to the breasts. The patient opted for 350cc silicone gel implants, taking her from her original small b-cup size to a full c cup. With one overnight stay at the hospital, she was recovering comfortably at home by the next evening.The patient is thrilled with her results and is feeling great!
