This mother of two, who was referred by a friend, came to our office in Melville, New York, to see Dr. Romanelli for a consultation on breast augmentation. She was looking for a fuller, natural look. She didn’t want to be “too large” and was happy with her size when she was pregnant, about a C-cup. We discussed options regarding implant type, incision placement, and implant location.  With a normal examination, we recommended placing the implant under the chest muscle, which allows for better mammography and gives a very natural appearance. She chose 380cc saline implants and preferred that the incision for placement of the breast implants be made under her breasts. Surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in less than one hour and after an additional hour in our recovery suite (with a private nurse by her side). She had a quick recovery and has returned to all her lifestyle activities. Following her surgery, she feels much more comfortable and confident in her clothes and is no longer limited in what she can wear.
