Tummy Tuck After Weight Loss With Dr. Romanelli

This patient, in her early 40’s, came to our office after a gastric bypass procedure. She had lost over 95 lbs and wanted to see Dr. Romanelli address the excess skin that remained on her abdomen. Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). The tummy tuck would remove the excess skin from the abdominal area and the hips, or ‘love handles’. The patient had her surgery at Melville Hospital and stayed over one night, returning to the comfort of her home to recover by the following afternoon. The patient is thrilled with her results! The final step in a challenging process, the cosmetic surgery ,was an exciting finish to her weight loss journey. We especially love helping these patients achieve their happy endings.
