Case Details

This patient in her late teens came to Dr. Romanelli to discuss her options to correct her asymmetry. She was born with a nearly complete absence of her right breast, and had just a small amount of tissue. The left breast was low, but the patient was pleased with the size. Dr. Romanelli explained to her that her situation required 2 surgeries to obtain the best results. There was just not enough skin on the right to place an implant immediately. For her first surgery, Dr. Romanelli put a tissue expander on the right, and reduced the size of the areola. On the left he lifted the breast to improve its shape. Several months later we preformed her second surgery, removing the tissue expander and placing a silicone implant on the right side. This was truly a life changing procedure for this patient. She has more confidence than ever before, and we are thrilled to have made this happen for her.
