Breast Augmentation With PeriAreolar Incision in Melville, NY

This patient, in her early 30s, came to our practice to discuss Breast Augmentation but was concerned about scarring. In order to achieve her desired look, Dr. Romanelli performed her Breast Augmentation using a periareolar incision. Periareolar incisions are made at the outer edge of the areola, following the curve that separates the darker skin of the nipple from the rest of your breast. Due to the darker color of the areola border, the incision line is camouflaged and appears almost invisible. Dr. Romanelli used 375cc high-profile silicone implants that were placed under the muscle. Surgery was performed in our ambulatory surgical suite in less than one hour and after an additional hour in our recovery suite (with a private nurse by her side). She had a quick recovery and has returned to all her lifestyle activities.
