Mommy Makeover: Breast Reduction And Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) in Long Island

This busy mom came to see Dr. Romanelli because she was unhappy with the appearance of her abdomen and breasts and wanted to see if Dr. Romanelli could restore her body to its pre-pregnancy shape. This procedure is called a mommy makeover, which helps reverse some of the effects motherhood can have on a woman’s body, getting her closer to her pre-baby body. It commonly includes a tummy tuck (to remove loose skin in the stomach) and breast augmentation, reduction, or a breast lift (to address breasts that have deflated or sagged).  Upon examination, Dr. Romanelli found her to be an excellent candidate for both a tummy tuck and bilateral breast reduction. This combination would flatten out her stomach and lift and reshape her breasts, the exact makeover this mommy was looking for! He performed a bilateral breast reduction with a lollipop incision (around the nipple and down the front of each breast) and an abdominoplasty.  She stayed overnight in our recovery suite, as all of our tummy tuck patients do. When we saw her at her first post-op 5 days later, she was already very excited about her results! She was back at work and feeling great within two weeks. Photos are two months post-op.
