Breast Reconstruction With Dr Layliev At North Shore Cosmetic Surgery

This patient suffered from left breast severe capsular contracture. She had a contracted and painful left breast. She had a bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer with reconstruction many years ago, as well as chemotherapy, and radiation. After attempts to improve her left breast with removal of the capsule and fat grafting, she was seen by Dr. Layliev. Here she is three months after a left latissimus myocutaneous flap with implant- her back muscle and skin was rotated into her chest to give her new, healthy, unradiated tissue. Revision to her right breast was also done with liposuction of her axillary soft tissue and removal of extra skin from the lower pole of her right breast. She is extremely pleased with her improved breast symmetry and no longer has the pain that was caused from her capsular contracture.
