Ear surgery: Your recovery
Once the surgery is complete, and you are released, you can return home to recover. We will provide you with a healing protocol before you leave our office. It's critical that you or your child not touch, pick at, or scratch your ears as they heal. Additionally, we will ask you to avoid lying on the ears and sleep with your head elevated the first few days of the healing process.
You will have a follow-up appointment roughly one week after the surgery, at which point one of our plastic surgeons will remove the wrappings and make sure your ears are healing properly. Your results will appear right away and will continue to look better as the days pass.
